It this legal?
Prison inmate roster published on Internet

A little while ago it was brought to my attention that an American software company that specializes in criminal justice solutions was recklessly publishing criminal records, photos and details of prison inmates from jail houses across America.

Justice Software Solutions - whose website looks like it has been built by people you absolutely would not trust with confidential data seems to have left the private criminal records of thousands of US inmates open to the public - which is anybody in the world that has access to the Internet.

I had planned on publishing the URL that lists every inmate of the Rogers County, Oklahoma jail house as 'proof' and although it's fascinating looking through photos and criminal records of thousands of inmates, I am clearly more morally guided than Justice Software Solutions.

Actually, the purpose of the article is to expose the issue so that it can be resolved. Once again, the lives of thousands of people are exposed by incompetence and insufficient Government IT security.
